The impact of liCD support for poverty reduction and development using ICTs, 2000-2004
This book is part of a series of studies realised by the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD), analysing the achievements and development impact of its programme of support in Bolivia. The Institute, which was founded in 1997 by the Netherlands Minister for Development Cooperation as an independent non-profit foundation, supports nine developing countries in their efforts to harness the potential of information and communication technologies (ICTs) for development.
IICD has Country Programmes in Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Ecuador, Ghana, Jamaica, Mali, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
This series highlights some of the most significant achievements in the use of ICTs for development in recent years, in the hope that this experience will be useful to other development partners and that successful approaches will be replicated and scaled up.
